– فلسفة الحب
الينابيع تمتزج بالنهر،
والأنهار بالمحيط؛
رياح السماء تمتزج إلى ما لا نهاية
بإحساس جميل
ليس في الدنيا شيء منفرد؛
فكل الأشياء وفق قانون إلهي
تمتزج في كيانِ شيءٍ آخر –
فَلِمَ لا أمتزج مع كيانك؟
انظري، الجبال الشاهقة تُقَبّل السماء،
والأمواج تعانق بعضها بعضاً؛
لا يمكن أن يُغتفر ذَنْبُ زهرةٍ شقيقة
إذا كانت تزدري شقيقها؛
وضوء الشمس يعانق الأرض،
وأشعة القمر تُقًبّل البحر –
ماذا تساوي كلّ هذه القبلات،
إن لم تُقَبّليني أنت؟
Love's Philosophy
The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In another's being mingle--
Why not I with thine?
See, the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower could be forgiven

And the sunlight clasps the earth,

What are all these kissings worth,
